Too Corrupt or Too Liberal? Why Not Both!
Find out which 3 Michigan Democratz top the list!
When the Michigan Freedom Network ponders who is the most liberal or the most corrupt in Lansing, three names top the list: Angela Witwer, Jim Haadsma, and Joey Andrews.
Whether it's lining up kickbacks for your own PR firm, inviting known sexual assailants to testify in favor of bills that hand out tax dollars to unions, or advocating for anti-freedom policies wildly out of step with your district – these three are guilty of letting self-interest dictate their floor votes, not the good of their districts.
“Michigan needs leaders who will put the needs of Michigan families before their own,” said Zach Rudat, on behalf of Michigan Freedom Network. “These three aren’t it. They make sure their donors and supporters are taken care of in Lansing, at the expense of the Michigan taxpayers. They might think voters back home aren’t watching, but they are wrong.”
Angela Witwer
Angela Witwer serves as the House Appropriations Chair, a powerful position that is vital in controlling state spending - and what she claims is her former business, Edge Partnerships, has state contracts funded by your tax dollars! Quite the coincidence for Angela. At every turn, she’s been able to walk right up to the line of corruption and possibly even cross it - including hosting a baby shower in a committee chamber, of all places!
Jim Haadsma
Jim has had a busy year covering up for, empowering, and enabling a convicted sexual abuser. Jim mediated a meeting between the victim and the abuser, former union lobbyist Jonathan Byrd, then allowed Byrd to testify in his committee afterwards. Classy Jim! Jim is now focused on banning gig-work. Goodbye Uber and DoorDash! We don’t need ya.
Joey Andrews
Joey hates DoorDash and Uber, (he’s working to ban gig work just like them) but he also accidentally wrote a law that would remove the penalties for coercing a child into marrying an adult. Whoops! However, it didn’t seem like an accident that his solar panel installation company could financially benefit from the bill he supported. Michiganders, just take his word for it – nothing suspicious is happening here!
